MYSTIC SANDS BERRY FARM

Jayne and Brad moved to a peaceful property on the outskirts of Inverloch 3.5 years ago, seeking a quiet retirement. While they hadn’t planned on starting a business, the remnants of a berry farm on their new property sparked their interest. After tasting the strawberries, they were transported back to the flavours of their childhood, inspiring them to reinvigorate the farm. They began by planting 1,000 strawberry plants in coconut fibre bags to keep pests at bay and set up a drip system for irrigation. Over time, their farm grew to 3,000 plants, and they began selling their sweet, flavourful strawberries locally. They also grow boysenberries, though their season is much shorter. In addition to fresh berries, they make strawberry jam and strawberry swirl ice cream, receiving great feedback for their delicious products.
