PHILLIP ISLAND MEADERY AND COWES HONEY

Phillip Island Meadery and Cowes Honey, founded by Paul Toovey, celebrates the art of local honey and mead production. In an industry where most honey producers move bees across Victoria to harvest from various blooms, Paul’s focus is on the magic of true local honey—sourced from diverse species on Phillip Island. After acquiring bees in 2020, Paul began brewing mead, an ancient honey-based drink, which quickly evolved from a hobby to a passion which has won him multiple awards at the 2023 and 2024 Redhill Mead Competition. Phillip Island Meadery is available Friday and Saturday evenings at Island Marketplace as well as offering private tasting sessions for small groups.
